What makes Brevard different

A long county, with a lot of places to be found in.

Titusville and Palm Bay are both in Brevard County, but someone who needs a roofer may search for their own town, or for "near me", rather than the county. A business that serves several towns should name each one where Google and customers can see it.

Mostly homeowners

About 77% of households own their home, and the median household income is $78,476, both Census estimates. If you sell to homeowners, that's most of the county.

Spanish is spoken here too

45,703 people in the county speak Spanish at home, 7.6% of everyone age 5 and up. If some of your customers prefer Spanish, a Spanish page can reach them. Diseño web en español.

Why the map is hard across a long county

Google says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and popularity. A shop in Melbourne is a long way from a searcher in Titusville, and the other way around. You can't move your shop. You can tell Google, plainly and in several places, which towns you work in. No one can promise you the top spot.

Town by town

Local SEO in Brevard County starts with naming your towns.

Seven Brevard places have their own page on my site, with what's different about getting found there. If your town isn't one of them, the same rules apply, and I'll still check your listing for free.

South Brevard

Palm Bay, Melbourne, West Melbourne and, across the river, Melbourne Beach. South Brevard also takes in Malabar, Grant-Valkaria and Micco.

Central Brevard

Viera, Rockledge and Cocoa. Viera is unincorporated, but it's what customers type, so a business there should name Viera on its site and in its profile.

Three places the town's name belongs

Your Google Business Profile (as service areas, if you go to your customers), a page on your website that's really about the town, and reviews where customers mention where the job was. How I manage Google Business Profiles, or do it yourself with the free checklist.

Before you open, and after

Use one business name: on your tax receipt, your site and your Google listing.

Google asks that your profile name reflect your real-world name, "as used consistently on your storefront, website, stationery, and as known to customers." In Brevard, the paperwork that name goes on starts with your business tax receipt.

The county receipt

The Brevard County Tax Collector requires a local business tax receipt for businesses in both the cities and the unincorporated areas. It's $37 a year plus any penalties. Receipts renew starting July 1 and expire September 30.

The city receipt, too

Inside a city or town, you usually need that city's receipt as well. Melbourne and Palm Bay, for example, both tell owners to get the county receipt in addition to their own. Ask your city before you open.

Use one name everywhere

Use the same business name on your receipt, your state filing, your website and your Google profile, so a customer who checks one sees the same business on the others.

Where I'd tell you to spend less

If your work comes from a few long-standing clients who already know you, you may not need a big site. Finish your Google profile, list the towns you serve, ask for reviews and keep your money. I'll tell you that on the call.

What I've done, and what I've counted

Work you can read, and review counts from Brevard's own map results.

I don't have a Brevard client to show you yet. Here's what I do have.

Case studies, written out in full

What I built and what changed, for a lawn and landscape company, a painting company, a coaching business and a website redesign. All of them are on my case studies page.

Review counts in Palm Bay and Melbourne, October 2026

On October 14 and 15, 2026, I searched six trades in Palm Bay and Melbourne from Sebastian and wrote down the review counts of the three businesses in Google's map results. For "plumber palm bay fl," they had 1.7K, 500 and 318 reviews. For "lawn care melbourne fl," they had 90, 26 and 106. Your number depends on your trade and your town. See the full table.

Being straight about the competition

How to compare web designers for Brevard County.

Brevard has plenty of web designers, and several publish prices. Here are four questions to ask any of them, me included.

Ask first

Who owns the domain and the Google listing?

It should be you, in your name, from day one. Ask to see it in writing before you pay. Mine is in writing, and it includes your Google listing.

Ask second

Can I see every price in one place?

A build price, a Google setup price and a monthly price. If any of them takes a call to hear, ask for it in writing first. Mine are in the price table further down.

Ask third

Does the page know the county?

Check the towns it names. Sebastian and Vero Beach are in Indian River County, not Brevard. If a Brevard page lists them as Brevard towns, it was probably copied from a template. I'm based in Sebastian, so I know where the county line is.

Ask fourth

Who will I actually talk to?

Ask for a name. With me it's Dennis, the same person who builds the site and answers the phone.

One person, both jobs

Web design and local SEO, done together.

Brevard is 16 towns and cities and a lot of unincorporated ground between them. I build and look after both your website and your Google profile, so they name the same places and the same services.

Your website

Built for the phone first, with your services, your prices if you publish them, and the towns you work in named in plain words. Redesigns too, if you already have a site.

Your Google profile

Set up or cleaned up so it matches your site: same name, same phone, same services, same towns. When they match, Google and your customers get the same answer.

Reviews and upkeep

A simple way to ask for reviews, and monthly plans that keep the site and the profile current. Month to month. Cancel any time.

What you keep

If you ever leave, you take everything with you.

Before you pay anyone, ask whose name the domain and the hosting will be in, and get the answer in writing. Mine covers the domain, every login and your Google listing.

Ask me anything before you decide
  • The domain is registered in your name. From day one, not mine.
  • You get every login. Hosting, Google, analytics, email, in writing.
  • No contract to break. Monthly plans are month to month.
  • No fee to leave. Not for transferring, not for releasing anything.

Published prices

Web design in Brevard County: the same prices as everywhere else.

The price is the same in Titusville, Palm Bay or anywhere in between. Every price is on my services page, and you can buy without a sales call.

Google Business Profile setup$300, one timeYour profile set up properly, with no monthly plan attached and no website required.
Starter website$800, one time3 pages, built for the phone first, with your Google profile set up and connected.
Professional website$1,500, one time7 pages for a business with several real services to explain.

Monthly plans$150 to $1,000 a monthCare $150, Local Visibility $300, Growth $600, Authority $1,000. Month to month, no contract.

What each monthly plan includes is on my services page. Most businesses don't need the biggest option. If the $300 profile setup is the right answer for you, that's what I'll tell you.

Brevard County questions

What people here ask.

How much does a website cost in Brevard County?

With me, $800 for a 3-page starter site, $1,500 for 7 pages or $3,000 for 10 pages, one time. A Google profile setup on its own is $300. Monthly plans run $150 to $1,000 and are month to month. The price changes with the number of pages, not with the town you're in.

Do you work in all of Brevard County?

Yes. I'm based in Sebastian, in Indian River County, and I work with businesses anywhere in Brevard.

Is Viera a city?

No. Viera is unincorporated; it isn't one of the county's 16 cities and towns. Merritt Island is unincorporated too. You can still name them on your website and in your Google profile, because that's what customers type.

Do I need a website, or is a Google profile enough?

For some small businesses, the Google profile alone is the right place to start, and it costs $300 once instead of $800 and up. Send me your business name and I'll tell you which one makes sense, even if the answer is the cheaper one.

How long does it take to see results?

I can't give you a date, and no one honestly can. Changes to your Google profile can show up within days. How much they help depends on your trade, your town and who you're up against.

What happens if I want to leave?

You take everything. The domain is in your name from the start, you get every login, your Google listing stays yours, ownership is in writing, and there's no fee to leave and no contract to break.

Free, no obligation

Let me check how your Google listing shows up in Brevard County first.

Send me your business name and the towns you work in. I'll check whether Google shows you to people searching there, tell you what your profile is missing and say whether a website is worth paying for yet. It's free, and you get it in writing whether you hire me or not.
