Fellsmere, Florida · Indian River County

Web design in Fellsmere, FL. Se habla español.

Fellsmere is the only town I serve where most business is done in Spanish — and I'm the only web designer on this coast who works in it. Nearly 78% of Fellsmere is Hispanic or Latino and a third of residents were born outside the US. Every other designer in Indian River County will hand you an English contract and hope for the best.

The part that actually matters here

Nobody else in this county does local SEO in Spanish.

I checked every web designer in Vero Beach, Sebastian, Palm Bay, Melbourne and Fort Pierce. Not one offers service in Spanish — not a page, not a line. In a town that's 77.9% Hispanic, that's not a small oversight. That's the whole market being asked to do business in a second language.

Spanish is my first language

No translator, no subcontractor. I write the site, I fix the Google profile, and I answer the phone. If you'd rather do the whole thing in Spanish, we do the whole thing in Spanish.

The contract gets explained properly

The part that causes the most damage in this industry isn't design — it's what the agreement says about who owns the site. Signing that in a second language is how people lose their domain. I'll go through it line by line, in Spanish, before you sign anything.

Your site can serve both

A lot of Fellsmere businesses have customers who speak Spanish and customers who speak English. Your website can do the same, written properly in both — not run through a translator.

A different town from its neighbours

Fellsmere is twenty-six years younger than Sebastian.

Ten minutes up CR-512 and it's a completely different market. Everywhere else I work skews older and settled. Fellsmere is young, working, and growing families — and that changes what marketing actually works.

FellsmereSebastianVero Beach
Median age325852
Hispanic or Latino77.9%
Average household4.3 peoplesmallersmaller
Population~5,100~27,800~17,900

Why that matters for your marketing. A 32-year-old customer with a young family searches on a phone, reads quickly, and expects to be able to tap and call. An older market reads every review first. Advice written for Vero Beach genuinely does not apply here, and most of what you'll read online is written for somewhere else entirely.

Being straight about the size

Fellsmere is small. That's exactly why it's winnable.

About 5,100 people, growing near 1% a year. I'm not going to pretend it's Palm Bay. But small and uncontested beats large and crowded, and there is almost nobody competing for Google Maps rankings in this town.

Your competition is often out of town

Search almost any service plus Fellsmere and you'll get businesses in Sebastian and Vero Beach. They rank because they finished their Google profiles. A Fellsmere business that finishes its own has a proximity advantage those businesses can't buy.

The population nearly doubles at harvest

This is where Indian River citrus comes from, and the town swells when the fruit is picked. If you sell food, fuel, repairs, tyres, laundry or anything people need on a working day, your busy season and your search traffic move together.

And the town is planning for much more

Fellsmere has annexed over 22,000 acres of land positioning for future growth, with quick access to I-95. The city's own economic development material points out that Indian River County is within three hours of roughly 17 million consumers.

Something worth knowing that has nothing to do with me: the entire City of Fellsmere is designated an Opportunity Zone, and the city offers an Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax exemption, expedited permitting, and land agreements for businesses on annexed properties. If you're starting, expanding or relocating here, call the city before you sign anything. That's free money that has nothing to do with hiring a web designer.

Who gets the most out of this here

The Fellsmere businesses where a Google listing pays for itself.

This town works differently from its neighbours. The average one-way commute is around 25 miles, because there simply isn't much employment inside the city — so a lot of residents are out of town all day, and a lot of the traffic through Fellsmere is passing through or working the groves.

Anything on the way in or out

Food, fuel, tyres, repairs, laundry, quick service. With most residents commuting and thousands of workers moving through at harvest, being findable on a phone matters more than being known in town.

Trades and construction

Construction is the sector with the most Hispanic-owned businesses in the country. Contractors, roofers, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, flooring, concrete — and most of that work comes from Sebastian and Vero, not just Fellsmere. Your listing needs service areas that say so.

Anyone serving a Spanish-speaking customer base

Restaurants, markets, salons, mechanics, tax and immigration services, childcare. If your customers search in Spanish and every result they get is in English, there's an opening there that costs almost nothing to take.

Where I'd tell you to spend less

If your work is entirely word of mouth inside Fellsmere and you're not chasing anything outside town, finish your Google profile for free, ask every customer for a review, and keep your money. I'll say that on the call if that's what I see.

One thing about this town worth saying out loud. Fellsmere was founded in 1911, and in 1915 it became the first municipality in Florida — and anywhere south of the Mason–Dixon line — to grant women the right to vote. It's a small town that has been ahead of much bigger ones before. Being first to do something obvious that nobody else has bothered with is sort of the local tradition.

What I actually do

Web design and local SEO, done together.

The website

Three to seven pages of web design depending on what you need. Fast on a phone, clear about what you do, easy to call from — and in Spanish, English, or both.

The Google Business Profile

Claimed, completed, correct categories, service areas set, every service written out. Most people still call it Google My Business. It's what decides whether you show on Google Maps at all. More on that here, or read the free checklist.

The month after

Hosting, updates, backups, changes when you need them, reviews requested and answered, and a plain monthly report. Month to month, cancel any time.

What you own

If you ever leave, you take everything with you.

The most common complaint about the big website companies isn't price or design. It's finding out — at the worst possible moment — that the site they paid for was never theirs. I put it in writing instead, and I'll explain every line of it in whichever language you'd rather read it in.

Ask me anything before you commit
  • Your domain is registered in your name. Not mine. It always was yours.
  • You get every login. Hosting, Google, analytics, email — handed over, written down.
  • No contract to escape. Monthly plans are month to month.
  • No fee to leave. No transfer fee, no release fee, no ransom on your own website.

Pricing

Web design pricing: same in Fellsmere as everywhere else.

Websites start at $800. Monthly plans start at $100, and the one most businesses want is $300. Setting up your Google profile properly on its own is $300 once, with no monthly plan. Every price is published with a buy button beside it. If you already have a site that isn't working, start with the redesign page.

Fellsmere questions

What people here ask.

Can we do all of this in Spanish?

Yes, all of it — the calls, the contract, the website itself if you want it. Spanish is my first language and there's no extra charge for it. This page has everything in Spanish.

Why do businesses from Sebastian rank for Fellsmere searches?

Because they finished their Google Business Profiles and most Fellsmere businesses haven't. Google weighs how close a business is to whoever's searching — which should favour you, not them. When an out-of-town business outranks you in your own town, it's almost always because their profile is complete and yours isn't.

Is Fellsmere too small for this to be worth it?

Small, yes. Not too small. There is very little competition for Google Maps rankings here, which means the work costs the same and gets further. And if you serve customers in Sebastian or Vero Beach as well — most Fellsmere businesses do — you're competing in a much bigger market than the town's population suggests.

You're in Sebastian. Isn't that far?

Ten minutes up CR-512. I'll come to your business. Call and we'll find a morning.

Will this get me to the top of Google Maps?

Nobody can promise that. Google's local results depend partly on how close the searcher is to you — which in a town this size actually works in your favour. What I can do is fix every part that is controllable and show you honestly what moved each month. Expect real movement in three to six months.

Free, takes about ten minutes

Let me look up your Fellsmere listing first.

Send me your business name and I'll tell you what's missing from your Google profile and why an out-of-town business is outranking you. In English or Spanish, whichever you'd rather. If it's something you can fix yourself, I'll tell you exactly how.
