Sample website and Google listing audits, with the names taken off.

Two real reviews I wrote in September 2026, for hair loss practices in two different Southern cities. Business names, owners, cities, addresses, phone numbers and competitor names are removed. Everything else is exactly what the owner read. This is what you get when you ask me to review your own website and Google listing, and it costs nothing.

What you get

A written website audit, checked by hand, free

A free website audit from most agencies is an instant score from a tool. Mine is a written review: I go through your website page by page, your Google Business Profile, and every competitor near you, and I write down what I find in plain English. Every review has the same parts.

Your website, page by pageWhat works, what is broken, and what each problem costs you, ranked from most to least urgent.
Your Google listingCategories, services, hours and reviews, and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere.
Speed on a real phoneGoogle's PageSpeed test, run on your homepage, explained in plain terms.
Every competitor nearbyBusinesses within about ten miles, with distance, rating, review count and what they do well.
The opening nobody tookThe position in your market that no competitor is claiming, and how to take it.
What to fix firstIn order. If you can fix it yourself, it says so. If a new site makes sense, it says what and why.

It is free, and you don't have to hire me afterward. If the answer is one fix rather than a website redesign, the review will say that. Prices for the work are on my services page, published before anyone asks.

The samples

Two real website audits, in full

Open either one to read it exactly as the owner did, every section included. Both are long on purpose: this is what a website and local SEO review looks like when someone actually does it.

Sample 1 · September 2026

A hair replacement and trichology practice

A homepage telling Google to index a different page, two websites on one domain, three sets of hours, and the market position nobody in her city had taken. Read the full website audit

Before we talk, I went through your website and your Google listing properly, then looked at every hair and scalp business within ten miles of you. Everything below is something I checked myself. Where I am not certain, I say so.

The short version

Your Google listing is the strongest asset you have, and it is doing more for you than your website is: 5.0 stars across 27 reviews, with no other hair loss specialist near that within ten miles. Meanwhile your website is telling Google not to index your homepage, an older version of your site is still partly live with dead store pages, your Store button goes nowhere, and three different sets of hours are published across the web.

Part 1 · Your Google listing

Your strongest asset

ItemWhat I found
Rating5.0 across 27 reviews, with no negative reviews at all
Address and phonePresent, and the phone matches your site
HoursTue–Thu 7:00–5:00 · Fri 6:00–12:00 · Mon, Sat, Sun closed
CategoriesHair care · Spa · Medical clinic

Your reviews are unusually good. Several name specific conditions: one mentions a cicatricial alopecia diagnosis, another describes coming in after handfuls of hair loss. That detail is worth more than a hundred short reviews, and none of it appears on your website.

Worth fixing on the listing

  • Categories. "Hair care, Spa, Medical clinic" does not say hair loss or trichology. The primary category is the single biggest factor in whether you appear in the map for a search, and yours is not pointed at what you do.
  • Services. Cranial prosthesis, trichology consultation, scalp analysis, non-surgical hair replacement and microchanneling should each be listed individually.
  • Hours. They do not match your website. Details in item 4 below.

Part 2 · Your website

What needs fixing

Ranked by what each one costs you. HIGH costs you search or bookings now · MEDIUM costs trust · LOW polish

HIGH1. Your homepage is telling Google to index a different page

There is a line on your homepage that reads canonical: [your domain]/services. A canonical tag tells Google "this is not the real version of this page, index that one instead." It sits on your homepage and points at your services page. I confirmed it on both the www and non-www versions of your site.

In plain terms, the most important page you own is asking to be left out of search results. This is the most valuable item in this report, and it is a small fix.

HIGH2. There are two websites on your domain

Your current site is built on GoHighLevel, but pages from an older Wix site are still reachable and still in Google's index, including your old store.

  • The old store page and a product page under it appear in Google's results. I clicked them. They return a 404 error page.
  • An old services page still serves the old Wix design.

Anyone who finds your products through Google lands on an error.

HIGH3. The Store button does not work

WhereWhere it goes
Desktop menuA placeholder anchor. Clicking it does nothing.
Mobile menuBack to your homepage
The one live linkAn outside shop, off your site entirely

You do not currently have a store anyone can buy from.

HIGH4. Three different sets of hours are live right now

SourceTue–ThuFriday
Google listing7:00 – 5:006:00 – 12:00
Your website8:00 – 5:005:45 am – 11:00 am
Old Wix pages, as Google shows them8:00 – 6:007:00 – 1:00

Google reads this kind of disagreement as a reason to trust the listing less. It also means some people arrive at a closed door.

HIGH5. Two different suite numbers

One suite number appears on your Google listing, your CareCredit listing and a state business directory. A different suite number appears on the map embedded on your own website and on another directory. The map on your site is currently sending people to the wrong suite.

HIGH6. The site is slow to finish loading on a phone

Google PageSpeed (homepage)MobileDesktopGood target
Performance score617390+
Main content visible (LCP)13.2 sec1.1 secunder 2.5 sec
Page jumping while loading (CLS)0.1630.72under 0.1
Accessibility / Best practices / SEO94 / 96 / 10094 / 96 / 10090+

On a phone your main image takes about 13 seconds to finish loading, and on a desktop the page shifts around badly while it loads, which is how someone ends up clicking the wrong thing. Google also reports that your site does not yet have enough real visitor data to measure speed from actual users, which is a sign of how little traffic is reaching you.

One note on that SEO score of 100: it is a technical checklist, not a measure of whether you rank. It passes while your homepage is still asking Google to index a different page, which is exactly why item 1 goes unnoticed.

MEDIUM7. Your social icons go nowhere

The four icons in your footer point at bare facebook.com, instagram.com, youtube.com and tiktok.com rather than your pages. Your real Facebook page has a few hundred followers and is not linked anywhere on the site.

MEDIUM8. Your reviews are on Google, not on your site

The testimonials on your site are signed with first names only, while 27 real, detailed Google reviews sit unused. There are also no prices anywhere, and no way to tell what a consultation involves before booking.

LOW9. Small items, all confirmed

  • Your business name is misspelled in the mobile header, missing a letter.
  • The footer still says Copyright 2022.
  • Your email address is not clickable. It sits behind spam protection that renders as a broken link.
  • Your business name is split across several main headings, so no single headline tells Google what the page is about.

Part 3 · Where your site lives

Why I would rebuild rather than patch

Your site runs on GoHighLevel, with Wix leftovers still answering on the same domain. That is the root of items 1, 2 and 3 above: two systems, one address, and no clean handover between them.

I build client sites as hand-coded pages hosted on Netlify, which is fast, simple, and fully under your control. What stays the same: your online booking, your phone, your CareCredit, and your Google listing. What changes: one system instead of two, every old Wix address redirected so nothing lands on an error, and full control over the code that is currently keeping your homepage out of search.

The honest trade-off: you would no longer edit pages yourself inside GoHighLevel. Changes come through me instead. For most practices that is a relief rather than a loss, but you should know it up front.

Part 4 · Your competition

Also inside ten miles: medical spas, beauty supply stores and a hair rehab salon. The nearest true competitor, another hair restoration practice, is 13.4 miles away, outside the radius.

Part 5 · The plan

What that picture says, and how I would position you

1. You lead your own category

Of the two other hair restoration businesses inside ten miles, one has a single review and the other has none. The nearest trichologist has six. You have twenty-seven at a perfect five stars. In your actual category you are not competitive, you are dominant. Nothing on your website says so.

2. Two other categories are taking your searches

The medical wig store 3.1 miles away has 173 reviews, and its customers write about chemo and hair loss by name, so it is taking the cranial prosthesis and medical wig searches. Three head spas sit inside ten miles, holding 267, 175 and 8 reviews between them. They offer relaxation rather than treatment, but they are winning the phrase "scalp treatment" plus your city, which you have a far better claim to.

3. The opening nobody has taken

Not one business within ten miles does both halves of this. The wig store makes hair but does not treat the scalp. The trichologist treats the scalp but does not make hair. The head spas do neither. The dermatologists prescribe and move on.

You are the only place in the city that can find out why the hair is leaving, treat it, and, if it does not come back, make hair that looks like it never left. One person, one building, the whole path. That is not a marketing angle, it is a description of what you already do, and it is worth building the entire site around.

4. Put your real reviews and your credentials to work

Twenty years, four credentials and twenty-seven five-star reviews belong on the site, in your own words, next to the services they describe.

Part 6 · The build

What I would build

PageWhy it exists
HomeThe whole path in one screen: diagnose, treat, replace
About the ownerTwenty years, four credentials, the reason people trust you
Non-Surgical Hair ReplacementIts own search, its own decision
Cranial ProsthesisAfter-cancer and medical hair loss. A different person searching, in a harder moment
Scalp & Trichology ServicesThe clinical side the head spas cannot offer
Children & TeensYou already have this content and almost nobody competes for it
Contact & BookingOne clear path, correct hours, correct suite

Included with the build: every item in Part 2 fixed, your Google Business Profile corrected and completed, your real reviews brought onto the site, and the old Wix pages redirected so nothing lands on an error. Seven pages is my published Professional build, $1,500.

You own everything: the website, the domain, every login, and the copyright, assigned to you as the work is delivered. No contracts and no fee to leave.

The store: one number I need from you

I did not quote the store, because the honest answer depends on something only you know: how many products do you actually stock and want to sell online right now? Not the full catalog you could order, but the ones on your shelf that you would ship this month. Most people do not launch a whole catalog at once. Starting with your fifteen best sellers gets the store live sooner and tells you what actually moves before you pay for the rest.

What happens next

Nothing, if you would rather fix it yourself. Everything in Part 2 is written plainly enough to hand to whoever built the current site, and the canonical tag alone is worth doing this week. Either way, thank you for the look at it. Twenty years and twenty-seven five-star reviews should be easier to find than this.

Sample 2 · September 2026

A trichology and scalp clinic

A 25-second mobile load, buttons hidden under chat bubbles, one Google review against a competitor 0.2 miles away, and 19 nearby practices compared. Read the full website audit

This review covers each page of your live site, your Google and Yelp listings, a speed test, and the hair loss and scalp practices within 10 miles of your suite. Everything below was checked on the live site.

The short version

You offer far more than your website shows: more than a dozen services, lab testing, scalp therapies, medical wigs, and a brand line that explains your name beautifully. The site hides most of it, loads very slowly on phones, and gives three different sets of hours across your website, Google, and Yelp. Your closest competitor is 0.2 miles away with 13 Google reviews to your 1. Every one of these gaps is fixable.

Part 1 · Your website

What is working

  • Your service menu has real depth. More than a dozen bookable services, from a quick chat under $30 to a four-figure scalp restoration program, plus lab review, hair tissue mineral analysis, and a free results call.
  • Online booking works. Square Appointments is built in, so clients can book and pay deposits online.
  • The Consultations page is well written. It explains the 1 to 1.5 hour visit and what you review, which builds trust before someone books.
  • Your brand line is strong. It explains the business name and speaks directly to someone losing their hair: your confidence does not depend on your hair.
  • You have a real logo and a calm, feminine palette that suits a hair loss client.
  • You introduce yourself. The homepage has a "Meet Your Trichologist" section.
  • Your phone number is the same everywhere we checked: website, Google, and Yelp.
  • Payment options are broad: Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major cards.
  • The technical basics pass. Google's test scores the homepage 92 to 93 for accessibility, 96 for best practices, and 92 for technical SEO.

What needs fixing

Ranked by how much each one costs you in bookings. HIGH costs bookings now · MEDIUM costs search visibility · LOW polish

HIGH1. The site is very slow on phones

We ran Google's PageSpeed test on your homepage twice. On a phone, your main content took 25 to 31 seconds to fully appear. Most people leave long before that, and most of your clients will find you on a phone.

Google PageSpeed (homepage)MobileDesktopGood target
Performance score9 – 1316 – 1990+

Page jumping while loading (CLS)0.91 – 1.000.50under 0.1
Accessibility / Best practices / SEO92 / 96 / 9293 / 96 / 9290+

Two runs, Lighthouse 13.4.1. Scores vary slightly run to run; the ranges cover both. The page also jumps around as it loads. Someone reaching for "Book" can tap the wrong thing, or the button can move away from their thumb.

HIGH2. Two floating buttons cover your Book and Submit buttons

On every page, a purple "Contact Us" chat bubble and a second white button sit stacked in the bottom-right corner. On a phone they cover the Book button on your services page and the Submit button on your contact form, the two buttons that bring in clients.

HIGH3. Your website, Google, and Yelp show three different sets of hours

DayWebsiteGoogleYelp
Monday6:30 – 8 pm9 am – 5 pm9 am – 5 pm
Tuesday6 – 8 pm9 am – 5 pm9 am – 5 pm
WednesdayClosed9 am – 5 pm9 am – 5 pm
ThursdayClosed9 am – 5 pm9 am – 5 pm
Friday2 – 4 pm9 am – 5 pm9 am – 5 pm
Saturday10 am – 2 pm9 am – 5 pm9 am – 3 pm
Sunday9 am – 5 pmClosedClosed

A client could drive over on a Wednesday because Google says you are open. Matching details across the web also help Google trust your listing. Yelp also lists a different street address from the one on Google and your website.

HIGH4. The Payment Plans page loaded blank

It is one of only five items in your menu. When we opened it on a phone, only the footer appeared. Someone weighing the comprehensive consultation or the full restoration program who sees an empty page has no answer to their biggest question.

HIGH5. One Google review

Your listing shows 5.0 stars from 1 review. The practice 0.2 miles from you has 13, and many others nearby have 40 or more. Review count and recency are widely reported as major factors in who appears in Google's map results. Your Yelp page already has a glowing review, so the goodwill exists; it just is not on Google yet.

MEDIUM6. Your services have no pages of their own

Microneedling, low level light therapy, oxygen therapy, scalp detox, hair tissue mineral analysis, and medical wigs are all things people search for. Right now each one is a single line in a booking list, so Google has nothing to show for those searches.

MEDIUM7. The homepage headline and page title do not say what or where you are

The headline is a question about hair loss, scalp disorders and skin conditions, and the browser tab reads "Hair Loss Concerns?" followed by the business name. Neither says trichologist or the city, the two words people type.

MEDIUM8. No search description or share image

The code of your homepage and booking page has no meta description, the short summary Google shows under your name, and no share image, so links sent by text or posted on social media show up blank.

MEDIUM9. Your contact details are not in your footer

Your address, map, and hours appear at the bottom of the Book page, but the footer that runs on every page shows only payment icons, email and Instagram links, your business name, and "Powered by Square." The footer also still says © 2023 and has no privacy policy link, which matters on a site that collects health concerns and takes payments.

MEDIUM10. Your business name appears two ways

The short name on Google, and the name plus "Hair Restoration Clinic" on your homepage, footer, and at least one hair clinic directory. "Hair restoration" also usually suggests transplants, and Yelp's request form offers visitors a "surgical hair loss treatment" option for your listing.

MEDIUM11. Prices are hidden or inconsistent

Many services show only "Deposit Required," so visitors cannot tell what they will pay. Two prices are missing the $ sign. "(Model Call)" beside the restoration program is unclear, and the Comprehensive Consultation is described as an "online" consultation.

LOW12. Stock images and small copy slips

  • The Consultations hero is a stock lab report with "Dr. John Doe" and "JOHN PATIENT" readable on it.
  • The homepage hero appears to be a stock photo and looks soft.
  • The Book page opens with "Did You Know......" and says 40% of women experience "this form of hair loss," but no form has been named yet and no source is given.
  • The homepage switches from "we" to "I" partway through.
  • A shopping cart icon sits in the header of every page, a Square default that confuses a service business.
  • Your logo appears at the bottom of the Book page, while the header uses plain text instead.
  • The page code limits zooming on phones, which makes the site harder to read for anyone with low vision.

Part 2 · The right size of build

Why a 3-page site would not fit your practice

Our Starter build is three pages: home, services, and contact. It would fix your speed and design, but it would put all of your services back on one list, which is the same problem you have now. A page for each service gives Google something to show when people search for that service by name. You need room for your therapies, your lab work, your wig services, and your story.

PageWhat it does
HomeA "[city] trichologist" headline, your brand line up top, reviews, and a clear Book button
About / Meet the ownerYour story, your approach, and your photo. For a one-on-one practice, you are the brand.
ConsultationsThe quick chat, the comprehensive consultation, and what happens in a visit
Scalp TherapiesMicroneedling, light therapy, oxygen therapy, scalp detox, scalp resets, and the restoration program
Lab & Mineral AnalysisHair tissue mineral analysis, lab review, and your results calls
Medical WigsCranial prosthesis and medical wig units, explained with care
Contact & LocationOne set of correct hours, map, suite directions, and your payment plan options

What the Professional build includes

  • Custom design built for your brand, mobile first
  • All seven pages written for you and optimized for your city's searches
  • Full on-page SEO and structured data so Google and AI assistants understand your services
  • Your Square booking and payment links connected on every page
  • Google Business Profile optimization, including one set of correct hours
  • You own the domain, the site, and every login

Professional build, seven pages: $1,500. Any third-party costs, such as your domain and hosting plan, are listed in writing before anything is signed.

Part 3 · Where your site lives

Why moving your site to Netlify makes sense

Your site is built on Square Online. Square's own help center says custom code on Square Online goes into "embed code" sections, lists that feature for its paid Plus and Premium plans, and says Square cannot help with the code itself. That limits how much we could fix in place, and the slow load and page jumping likely come largely from the platform itself.

We recommend rebuilding the site on Netlify, a fast hosting platform for hand-built websites, while keeping Square exactly as you use it today.

What changesWhat stays the same
A hand-built site designed to load fast on phonesYour Square account, client list, and card processing
Full control over design, headlines, and page layoutYour services, deposits, and calendar in Square Appointments
Full control over search titles, descriptions, and structured dataOnline booking: Square supports placing its booking widget or Book button on sites built outside Square
No shopping cart icon or floating buttons covering your contentPayments: Square payment links work from any site, for payment plans, wig deposits, and programs

The honest trade-off: you would no longer edit the site yourself in Square's drag-and-drop editor. Changes go through us instead. For most practices that is a relief rather than a loss, but you should know it up front.

Your closest competitor: Practice A, 0.2 miles away

It offers many of the same services: low level laser, oxygen therapy, scalp detoxes, and non-surgical hair replacement. Its website does several things yours does not yet do:

  • Says it accepts insurance, VA benefits, HSA/FSA, and CareCredit, and offers in-house financing
  • Offers a free hair and scalp assessment as the first step
  • Has an About page for the founder, says it has operated for about twenty years, and shows an award and a large before-and-after gallery
  • Has 13 Google reviews to your 1

It is closed Sundays and Mondays on both Google and its website, so those days are an opening for you once your own hours are settled.

What the rest of the market tells us

  • Most names on this list cover one piece. Transplant clinics, micropigmentation studios, and wig shops each focus on a single answer. You can offer testing, treatment, and medical wigs in one place.
  • Reviews weigh heavily on the map. Twelve of the practices on this list have 40 or more Google reviews. Closing that gap is one of the fastest wins available to you.
  • Financing is expected. Your nearest competitor advertises it on its homepage. A Payment Plans page that loads blank misses a question clients already ask.

Part 5 · The plan

How we would position you to stand out

1. Lead with your name's story

Your brand line makes a promise no one else nearby can make: your confidence does not depend on your hair. It belongs at the top of your homepage, not the bottom of your booking page.

2. Own "whole answer under one roof"

Most competitors sell one solution. You can test (lab and mineral analysis), treat (scalp therapies), and restore confidence while hair recovers (medical wigs). Each gets its own page so clients and Google see the full picture.

3. Make your published prices a strength

You already have clear entry points: a low-cost quick chat and a comprehensive consultation. Putting prices up front, with payment plans beside them, removes the biggest hesitation before booking.

4. Put your face on it

A dedicated "Meet the owner" page, with your photo and real photos of your suite, answers the question every nervous client has: who will I be sitting with?

5. Compete on the map with reviews and one set of facts

One correct address, phone, and set of hours on your site, Google, and Yelp, plus a simple routine for asking happy clients for a Google review. Moving from 1 review toward the 15 to 20 range would put you past where your closest competitor is today.

6. Be fast where your clients are

A site that loads in a few seconds on a phone, with the Book button always visible and never covered.

Both reviews reflect the live websites and public listings in September 2026. Competitor details come from Google and, where noted, competitors' own websites. Names, locations and identifying details are removed; findings, measurements and recommendations are unchanged.

Why it reads like this

How a hand-checked website audit differs from an instant SEO score

An automated SEO audit is useful for finding broken links. It can't read a sentence and notice that it's a reviewer's note pasted in by mistake, or tell that a map pin points at the wrong suite. Most of what costs a local business customers, and most of what holds back its local SEO, is that kind of problem. That's why every finding here was checked by a person on the live site, and why anything I couldn't confirm is labeled as unconfirmed.

The same method is behind every website design I do. You can see what came after the review on real projects on the case studies page, and read how I approach Google listings in the Google Business Profile checklist most businesses never finish. If you're weighing a rebuild, what a website actually costs and who owns your website are the two questions worth answering first.

I'm based in Sebastian and work across the Treasure Coast towns I serve, in English and in Spanish: diseño web en español. Trades get their own page too, on website design for contractors.

Questions

Questions about the free website review

Is the written review really free?

Yes. You get the full written review, like the two on this page, and you pay nothing for it. You don't have to hire me afterward, and if the fixes are things you or your current web person can do, the review says so.

Do you use an automated audit tool?

I use tools to measure things, like Google's PageSpeed test, but a tool doesn't write the review. Most free audits are an instant score. A score can't notice that a homepage is asking Google to skip it while the same test gives it 100 for SEO, which is exactly what happened in Sample 1. I check every finding myself, and where I'm not sure, I say so.

What does the review cover?

Your website page by page, your Google Business Profile, whether your name, address, phone and hours match everywhere they're published, a speed test, and every competitor within about ten miles with their ratings and review counts. It ends with what to fix first and what I would build, if anything.

What if I don't need a new website?

Then the review will say that. Sometimes the most valuable fix is one line of code or a Google listing setting that takes ten minutes, and I'll tell you which ten minutes rather than sell you a rebuild.

Why are the names removed from these samples?

These were written for real business owners, and a review lists what's wrong with their website in plain terms. That's useful to them and nobody else's business. The findings, measurements and recommendations are unchanged; only the details that identify them are gone.

Do you work outside the Treasure Coast?

Yes. Both samples here are for practices in other states. I'm based in Sebastian and most of my clients are on the Treasure Coast, but a website review works the same anywhere.
